Many times it is simply not possible to receive instruction from a qualified riding instructor due to lack of availability in your area or travel time involved.  Budget constraints often inhibit the ability to seek advice from a skilled and compassionate trainer on a consistent basis.

I specialize in sharpening your Equine understanding and skills through knowledge and communication. I do this with a solid, principled foundation of Classical Dressage and well over 25 years of teaching and training experience.

I am now providing an 'outreach' program especially targeted for those in rural areas. For those who want to continue their studies during the winter, but can't get to an indoor, for those who want a personalized private approach, and for those who want more than 'just the hour', here's your opportunity. There are huge benefits from this program. Discussions are followed up with professionally designed graphics for your individual program.

Call or e-mail anytime to set up a 'lesson/evaluation'. You will need to send a recorded session of your training at home, Dressage test, or other representation of you riding your horse. Your instruction takes place over the phone. We watch and discuss during a detailed review of your recorded workout. Time is taken to go over, and review (as many times as needed) all the elements of your performance.

With decades of experience working with various breeds of horses and all kinds of people, I will find and present the things that you need to know. My background is varied and extensive. I spent many years under the expert guidance of H.L.M. van Schaik, and continued studies for a time under Karl Mikolka. During my career I turned horses and riders out to compete in Dressage, Combined Training, Combined Driving and Hunter/Jumper events. I am consulting and working with riders and their trainers in many disciplines. Classical Dressage can also be implemented to improve performance techniques and lengthen the competitive careers of Equine Athletes.
